- Hike or climb Mt. Chocorua in our “front yard” or one of 48 4000-foot peaks.
- Swim from a sandy beach at nearby White Lake State Park.
- Canoe or kayak the Saco River.
- Visit New England’s past at the Remick Farm Museum in Tamworth.
- Take the children to one of 16 major attractions in the White Mountains.
- Climb Mt. Washington on foot, or by the Mt. Washington Auto Road or Cog Railway.
- Drive across the Kancamagus Highway, through Franconia Notch, past Cannon Mountain gondola and the Flume, with a side-trip to historic Bretton Woods Hotel (founding site of the World Bank and IMF), returning through Crawford Notch.
- See North Conway boutiques, art galleries, and factory outlet stores.
- Pick strawberries or blueberries.
- Attend a PowWow, bluegrass festival or town concert.
- Take in summer theater, contra dances and festivals
- Are you a cyclist? We can point you toward rides for all levels from our doorstep.
